Welcome to the Golden Key Foundation website – one of the first three private foundations registered in Bulgaria after the changes and the only one of its kind dedicated to the development of culture. Established in 1991 by the artists of the Small Puppet Theater Slon, our foundation aims to develop Bulgarian culture and create art “for and by children”.
With more than three decades of experience, the Golden Key Foundation is a well-established cultural organization in Bulgaria and abroad. We partner with international organizations to create joint creative projects and are proud of our Small Puppet Theater Slon, winner of over thirty international awards.
Our Programs
The Golden Key Foundation realizes its goals through a variety of programs, including:
- Public and social activities: We organize performances for children in disadvantaged situations, in remote areas, and create shows aimed at various minority groups and ethnicities.
- Donation activities: We donate our publications to libraries across the country and support hospitalized children in oncology and pediatric wards.
- Creativity and creation: We create original theater productions and develop the innovative art of water puppetry.
- Scientific research activities: We publish scientific works in the field of puppet theater and participate in international conferences and master classes.
- Educational activities: We train young talents in the field of puppetry and organize workshops.
- Publishing activities: We publish scientific and fiction literature, musical scores and audio-music editions.
